Wikipedia suffers outage after technical glitch





Wikipedia is struggling this morning as users are taking to Twitter and other social media sites to vent their frustration.




The world's largest online encyclopedia began to struggle at around 6:30 a.m. PT, with an error message on the site's front page stating that its "servers are currently experiencing a technical problem."




When users navigate to Wikipedia pages, the site part load pages, stripping out much of the site's content styles and layout. The site is loading slowly, but many are reporting that Wikipedia's homepage is inaccessible.




The site's current error message advises the the site "should be fixed soon."




CNET did not receive an immediate reply from the Wikimedia Foundation, the group behind Wikipedia. If we hear back, we'll update the post.
